Family business since 1917
Richard Behr founded his company at Gertrudenkirchhof in Hamburg. In 1932, his son Dr. Edgar Behr joined the company. Together with his brother-in-law “Uncle” Rolf Schüring, they specialized in trading feathers and down. Edgar's son-in-law Jürgen Habertag began producing bedding in 1982, his son Christoph Habertag started supplying international luxury hotels in the 1990s, and his son Dr. Patrick Habertag opened the family's first fully digitalized hotel.
